Mindfulness is an "in the moment awareness". It's about being present, fully focusing on whatever you are doing. It is an awareness of what is currently happening around you, both internally and externally, without being judgmental. According to research, the increased observation and awareness of your thought patterns can help you disengage from repetitive or unhelpful ones. This, in turn, can give you better balance with your emotions, and therefore with your life.
